Why PayPal? It's connected directly to an API that confirms your payment and emails your license key and download link automatically — usually within a minute, no waiting on me.

Don't use PayPal? I also accept Stripe — that one's manual on my end, so contact me first and I'll send you a secure Stripe payment link. Once it clears, I'll personally send your download link within 24 hours (usually much sooner).

Questions before you buy? Reach out — I answer these myself.

Single license covers your chosen platform. Backed by a 14-day money-back guarantee — if it doesn't do what I promised, email me within 14 days for a full refund.

System Requirements

🪟 Windows Tested & Stable

Minimum system requirementsRecommended system requirements
Operating systemWindows 11Windows 11
Processorx64 (Intel or AMD)x64 (Intel or AMD)
Memory8 GB16 GB or more
StorageApproximately 1.7 GB for the install1.7 GB plus room for the optional CUDA package and any Whisper models you download
Video encodingNone required — CPU encoding works on any hardware, just slowerHardware encoding is auto-detected: NVIDIA GTX 1050 or newer (NVENC, H.264/H.265); Intel integrated graphics 6th gen (2015) or newer (Quick Sync, beta); AMD Radeon RX 400 series or newer (AMF, beta)
Whisper transcriptionCPU — works on any hardware, slowerNVIDIA CUDA (extra install step due to size) or Intel OpenVINO (Arc & Core Ultra, one-click from Settings). AMD GPUs are not supported for Whisper acceleration.

Tested in a sandbox environment with beta testers confirming stability. Hardware encoding measured at 164 fps on an Intel HD 530 (2015) vs 56 fps on CPU alone. Probably works on Windows 10, but that OS is no longer supported by Microsoft — you take that risk. Upgrade to Windows 11.

🍎 macOS Native & Efficient

Minimum system requirementsRecommended system requirements
Operating systemmacOS on Apple SiliconCurrent macOS release
ProcessorApple M1Apple M1 or newer
Memory8 GB16 GB or more
StorageSmaller than the Windows install (under 1.7 GB)Plus room for any Whisper models you download
Video encodingVideoToolbox — built into every Mac, nothing to installVideoToolbox uses the GPU or dedicated Media Engine for fast H.264/HEVC transcoding with low CPU overhead
Whisper transcriptionBuilt in — nothing extra to installBuilt in — nothing extra to install

No CUDA needed. Acceleration is handled by VideoToolbox, Apple's built-in low-level framework for hardware-accelerated video encoding and decoding — it's already on your Mac.

🐧 Linux Tested on Ubuntu 26.04

Minimum system requirementsRecommended system requirements
Operating systemUbuntu 26.04 LTSUbuntu 26.04 LTS
Processorx86_64 (not ARM)x86_64 (not ARM)
Memory8 GB16 GB or more
StorageRoom for the .tar.gz and extracted app, plus any Whisper models you downloadSame
Video encodingNone required — CPU encoding works on any hardware, just slowerDedicated GPU — hardware encoding is auto-detected where available
DependenciesGTK3 / GStreamer — install.sh installs them via your package manager if they're missingSame

Certified on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (x86_64) — that's what this release has actually been tested on, by me, personally. Should also work on other recent Ubuntu LTS releases and close derivatives (Linux Mint, Pop!_OS, Elementary OS), since they share the same underlying libraries — but those have not been independently verified. No guarantee outside of 26.04 yet. Installs from a .tar.gz with a guided install.sh — no terminal required. See the full Linux install guide for details.

Memory: 8 GB runs the app and the large-4bit Whisper model comfortably; 16 GB lets you use large-v3, the most accurate model. See the Whisper model guide.

How It Works

  1. 1
Choose your platform, then complete payment via PayPal.
  2. 2
Payment is fully automatic — your license key and download link are emailed to your PayPal address within a minute of payment confirmation.
  3. 3
Download, install, and start using FFmpeg Commander. All tools are bundled — nothing extra to install on Mac. Windows users need one extra step for CUDA if you want GPU-accelerated Whisper transcription.
  4. 4
You'll know when there's a new version — FFmpeg Commander checks once a day and shows a banner in the app. Enter your license key and it hands you the download link; install it over the old copy. A changelog shows what's new.

Ten reasons it's worth $45

1. One price. Once.
$45 and it's yours. No renewal, no tier, no “your plan has changed” email in eighteen months.
2. Nothing leaves your computer.
No account, no upload, no cloud queue. Your footage — client work, family video, anything sensitive — never goes anywhere.
3. Transcription and subtitles are included.
Rev charges $1.50 a minute. One hour of video costs $90 there. Here it's built in, unlimited, in 20+ languages.
4. It dubs video into 19 languages.
60 synthetic voices, running on your own machine. The services that do this start at $29 a month and never stop billing.
5. It downloads video from the web.
Grab a video, then convert, subtitle or edit it — without bouncing between three sites full of ads.
6. It replaces a shelf of single-purpose apps.
Converter, screen recorder, transcriber, downloader, subtitle burner, colour grader. Each of those is a separate purchase or subscription elsewhere.
7. It uses your hardware, not someone's server.
GPU-accelerated encoding on Mac, Windows and Linux. No upload wait, no queue, no monthly render minutes.
8. It works the same on all three platforms.
Mac, Windows 11 and Linux — same features, no “desktop version coming soon.”
9. A person answers your email.
Built and supported by one developer, usually within 24 hours. Not a ticket queue, not a chatbot, not a forum where nobody replies.
10. There's a free one to try first.
The screen recorder is free, built the same way, no account. If you like how that works, you already know what you're buying.
